In honor of my little sister and every child fighting cancer
This year, I am participating in the Long Beach Legacy Triathlon to raise money for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and their pediatric cancer research.
This cause is very personal to me. When I was younger, my little sister, Anica, passed away from pediatric brain cancer. Watching someone so small and innocent go through something like that changes the way you see the world forever. Cancer does not just affect the child. It affects the entire family and leaves a mark that never really goes away.
I often think about how different things could have been if there were better treatments or more answers. That is why supporting pediatric cancer research matters so much to me. The work being done at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is helping move us closer to better treatments and more hope for families who are going through the unthinkable.
Participating in this triathlon is my small way of honoring my sister and supporting the kids and families who are fighting battles like the one she faced.
If you can donate, it would truly mean a lot to me. Any amount helps support research that can change and save the lives of children.
Thank you for being part of something that helps create more hope for kids and families who need it.
