Welcome to my Walk & Play L.A. page! I am excited to be part of the ninth annual Walk & Play L.A. in support of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

CHLA is a very special place to me.  It was while volunteering at CHLA as a teen that I decided I wanted to be a doctor.  I then returned to CHLA after medical school to do my pediatric residency.   It is an honor for me to support this special place.

As California's largest pediatric safety-net hospital, CHLA cares for some of the sickest and most vulnerable children in the state.   65% of the funds CHLA uses to pay for care come from government sources, including Medicaid and federal funding for research and education.  This reality leaves CHLA uniquely exposed to changes in public policy and disruptions in federal support.  Recent actions at the federal level have exacerbated these risks.  CHLA has redoubled its strategic and advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento to protect funding for child health across their missions of quality medical care, education and research. 

Walk & Play L.A. supports the only hospital solely dedicated to the health of children in Los Angeles where miracles happen every day.
