We are delighted to announce that, at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), we have established the Vernon Tolo, MD, Research and Education Endowment with a fundraising goal of $2 million. Dr. Tolo was the first full-time pediatric orthopedist at Children's Hospital Los Angeles when he came to CHLA more than 35 years ago. Throughout his career he has transformed the lives of thousands of children and their families with his unparalleled expertise in diverse areas such as benign and malignant bone tumors, severe scoliosis, and skeletal dysplasias.

The Vernon Tolo, MD, Research and Education Endowment will support educational initiatives, including the establishment of the Dr. Tolo Lectureship, and provide resources to allow for the continued advancement of research to improve the care of children and adolescents with orthopedic conditions. Dr. Tolo's impact at CHLA has been immeasurable, and this endowment ensures that his legacy will continue far beyond his tenure.
