Support the Work of William Magee, MD, DDS
Dr. William Magee, pediatric plastic surgeon at CHLA, has dedicated himself to serving and improving the lives of those affected by craniofacial anomalies. His team's care extends throughout Southern California and the world. Their extraordinary surgical work, international service, mentorship, and expert research all combine to bring about new innovations for orofacial clefts and enhance care for children affected by cleft lip and cleft palate.
Philanthropy is critical to bridging the financial gap that exists for medical centers conducting research and treating patients. For those who wish to support Dr. Magee's clinical, educational and research efforts, we welcome your support.
Current research projects include: investigating the genetic and environmental exposures associated with oral clefts in multiethnic populations; determining the prevalence of cleft disease in developing countries and identifying the barriers to surgical care; creating a common severity scale for medical professionals which would lead to improved communication, surgical decisions and outcomes; and training non-physicians to deliver surgical care in resource-limited settings.
Your thoughtful gift creates hope and builds healthier futures for the families of Southern California and far beyond. Thank you!
