Pediatric Integrative Medicine and Virtual Reality for Pain Management
Support Innovation and Discovery using Pediatric Integrative Medicine Practices and novel Digital Therapeutics for Pain Management
Please consider supporting our fundraising efforts with a donation to the Biobehavioral Pain Laboratory at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many young patients and their families. Any amount, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will support our mission to create hope and build healthier futures for the families of Southern California and beyond.
Our team appreciates and values the National Institute of Health's (NIH) "Whole Person Health.” Instead of treating a specific disease, whole person health focuses on restoring health, promoting resilience, and preventing diseases across a lifespan for individuals, families, communities, and populations in multiple interconnected areas.
We accomplish this care through:
- The evaluation of clinical integrative practices (acupuncture, biofeedback, massage, mindfulness, and yoga)
- Digital therapeutics (virtual reality, augmented reality)
- Teamwork and YOU!
With your support, our lab can continue to deliver interventions leading to state-of-science novel research discovery to determine the best evidence-based practices for patients facing unique and complex health (physical, emotional, spiritual) conditions.
We wanted to thank our 2023 donors for their generosity and gifts: Brenda and Michael Fishler, Michelle and Adam Wright, Audrey and Evan Wright, Jordan Wright, Elisa and Michael Schnekman, William Spector, and Max Orozco
