Help me celebrate the end of Heart Month and me running my first half-marathon by donating to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Heart Institute. The CHLA Heart Institute is a special place that cares for structural congenital heart defects as well as other heart conditions. As you may or may not know, I had to have my aortic valve replaced March 2023. This journey started with a second opinion visit at CHLA where I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Vaughn Starnes, my surgeon. I will be running my first half-marathon one year one day after my open-heart procedure and wish to raise both awareness of congenital heart disease in children and in adults.
