Hi! Welcome to my fundraising page! Thanks for coming! I am so excited to be a Junior Ambassador for CHLA, the hospital that literally saved my life.
When I was a baby, I refused to eat and cried all the time and my parents and most doctors thought I had colic but I was actually in severe heart failure. See, I was born with a very rare congenital heart defect called ALCAPA. The cardiologist told my mom, “she needs open heart surgery and she needs it now and there’s only one doctor I recommend to do it and, luckily, he is right here in LA." That afternoon (March 16th, 2010), I checked into CHLA and I did not leave for 89 days. During that time, I had two open heart surgeries and received the very best care from the most amazing people.
