It seems like ages ago that I ran in the LA Marathon's Charity Challenge. In fact, it was the last race I participated in right before we went into quarantine. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and it was a great race. The good part about the quarantine was that I was forced to slow down and it allowed me to really get back to running and being healthy. I had planned on participating the very next time we could gatehr in person and was excited to begin training again! Sadly, I had to defer my race entry due to an injury, but I am happy to say that I am BACK! I can't wait for March and the opportunity to once again support CHLA and run the streets of Los Angeles.
The pandemic has increased the need for generous friends to help at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. I am running to support those who need critical, life saving treatment but can't afford to go anywhere else. I am running to support an amazing institution that supports its staff and caregivers. I am running to support the children of Los Angeles. And even though I am now in Texas, I look forward to coming back to LA to run in this fantastic race. I hope you will join me in this race this year either by making a donation or joining the CHLA team and raising funds yourself! Together we can build hope and create healthier futures. See you at the finish line!
