How do I create my fundraising page?

Please visit the registration page and choose the “Participate As An Individual.” Once you set up your page, visit your Participant Center to customize your fundraising page with a unique name or URL, tell your story, set a fundraising goal, upload videos and photos, send emails and updates to friends and family, and collect donations online.

Can donations be made by check?

Yes. All checks should be made payable to Children's Hospital Los Angeles and mailed to 4650 Sunset Boulevard, MS #29, Attn: Michael Sandler/LA Marathon, Los Angeles, CA 90027. Please be sure to include the name of the charity runner your donation is supporting.

My supporter needs a tax-receipt letter. How do I get one?

A tax receipt is automatically generated for supporters who give online through your personal fundraising page. For gifts made by cash or check, donors must provide their complete name (first and last names) and mailing address. We will mail them a letter and tax receipt when their gift has been processed.

Are all participants and teammates encouraged to fundraise?

Yes. Participation on the CHLA Team for the Los Angeles Marathon comes with a requirement to fundraise in support of CHLA. All charity runners, regardless of which charity they are supporting are required to raise a minimum of $650. Check out some helpful fundraising tips to get started.

My employer will match my donation to the Los Angeles Marathon. What do I need to do?

How much does it cost to register to fundraise?

There is no cost to set up a fundraising page. We encourage you to make an initial donation to your page.

Is there a fundraising minimum? What’s a good fundraising goal?

The fundraising minimum is $650 per individual runner. Your fundraising goal is a personal choice based on your expectations, but we hope you will raise much more than $650.
