Swim Clinics
The CHLA Swim Clinics are designed to teach you swimming techniques and prepare you for race day. Triathlon swim coaches and lifeguards will be there to guide you and ensure your safety. The Malibu Triathlon closely monitors all weather conditions, follows local COVID-19 guidelines and reserves the right to cancel the swim clinics at any time.
Our Event
Who: The CHLA Swim Clinic Series is open to all fundraisers who have raised a minimum of $350. Friends and family can't participate in the clinics unless they have reached the $350 minimum. To qualify for registration, your fundraising page must show the $350 or more by 3:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to each Saturday clinic.

Registering for the Swim Clinics
Qualifying participants will be sent a link to register for the swim clinics. While there is no fee to register for the swim clinics, please note that USAT requires each non-annual USAT member to purchase a $15 USAT pass at registration in order to participate in the swim clinics. This is in addition to the USAT fee required for the triathlon. Only one USAT fee is required per person for the entire swim clinic series.
What time should you arrive?
Please arrive no later than 7:30 a.m. to check in and ensure you have time to change into your wetsuit. Check-in closes at 7:50 a.m. Any arrivals after this time will not be allowed to swim. The clinic will start promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Where are the clinics?
Open water clinics will take place at Zuma Beach Lifeguard Tower #10.
What should you bring?
Goggles: These will be important to see in the water.
Wetsuit: The water is pretty chilly so we recommend you bring a wetsuit.
Change of clothes, towel, sunscreen, etc.
