How do I create a fundraising page?
Please visit the registration page and choose the “Join An Existing Team” button if you are a member of an Entertainment Industry Challenge/Corporate Challenge team OR the “Participate As An Individual” if you are not on one of the EIC/CC teams. Once you set up your page, visit your Participant Center to customize your fundraising page with a unique name or URL, tell your story, set a fundraising goal, upload videos and photos, send emails and updates to friends and family, and collect donations online.
Can donations be made by check?
Yes. All checks should be made payable to Children's Hospital Los Angeles and mailed to 4650 Sunset Boulevard, MS #29, Attn: Malibu Triathlon, Los Angeles, CA 90027. Please be sure to include the name of the triathlete your donation is supporting.
My supporter needs a tax-receipt letter. How do I get one?
A tax receipt is automatically generated for supporters who give online through your personal fundraising page. For gifts made by cash or check, donors must provide their complete name (first and last names) and mailing address. We will mail them a letter and tax receipt when their gift has been processed.
Are all participants and teammates encouraged to fundraise?
Yes. The Malibu Triathlon is a community fundraising event and all participants, including team members, are encouraged to fundraise in support of CHLA. Each individual must raise a minimum of $250 for pediatric cancer research. Check out some helpful fundraising tips to get started.
My employer will match my donation to the Malibu Triathlon. What do I need to do?
If your company has a matching gift program, please request a matching gift form from your Human Resources or Personnel department. Email it to email@example.com.
